I agree, I was several days ago in Paris, it's hard even to be the tourist there. Locals do not like English language at all even they understand it. |

Besides it is very simple and a little bit racist to put on people "stamps" like you did. With this respect some muslims are terrorists and some Japanese women geishas etc. I would not be surprised if some russian women do actively sleep around for career prospects. Seen the type in the workplace and at parties. Behind every prejudice lies some truth. |

But I suppose you can say the same about any women then? Swedish women? UK women? US women?
Or only some russian women as it's generalization only? Some truth can be found anywhere - it's up to the person's fantasy and perception. |

This thread was in a sad state from the first post but now it has derailed even further with stereotyping russian and slavic women. Laughable.

Of course it is laughable as people even do not read the text. They take what they want to see. Besides living in Russia most of my life i lived in Middle Asia, in a muslim country. Maybe now they can misjudge some Middle Asian women the same way.
This topic is about one not successful story of the person who lives in Sweden and has problem to find the jobs. Of course it is hard to develop and start life in another country but there are hundreds of people who are successful. Maybe people who leave last comments do not believe in successfull people who do not need to use body or something else to get the job. |

There is nothing in the Earth called middle Asia, but there is something called Middle East and also Far East
Russia is not EU member and their English is always bad for all people who i did met. Bad English , non EU ,pollution ,143 million population,Corruption of education as you can purchase your certificate and the teacher ,Mafia, enormous lands area with many bad neighbours and other problems (political,Economical,socialism...etc), So , not compared to any EU countries nor The Scandinavian countries . Big differences. wow |

The OP meant Central Asia (commonly called "Middle Asia" in other languages) that hosts 65 million people:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Asia There are some differences to EU certainly, but I would not exaggerate these. There are plenty of sociopolitical problems in Europe as well... ~~~PDX~~~ |

Pretty interesting topic! From my experience i think finding a job in Sweden as an non speaking swedish immigrant highly depends on your network.
I came to Sweden few months ago and i found a job approx after a month and a half. Thanks to a friend of my sambo whose the company was looking for an international manager in my field. On top of that, the nystartsjob opportunity was a great incentive for my employer to hire me. Meanwhile i will take Swedish course during evening. All i can say is that it is difficult as it is in any other country if you don´t speak the local language and don´t have any network that can lead you to job opportunities. Coming from France, i can tell that one shouldn´t dream about finding a job without speaking french unless he was headhunted for an international position and for some jobs you might not even been hired if you are fluent with an "exotic" accent. So it is all about trying to build up a network in your field, being at the right place at the right time and of course, having the required skills. Overall my experience is positive since i arrived in Sweden! So far so good... |

I used to such situation when some people do not know where is located Middle ( or Central Asia). I also agree that some people here are trolling more than reply to the topic. |

Im not replying to the OP .
But.. As its ofcourse countries worst than the worse in Sweden . Sweden is one of Scandinavian countries , its has good points and bad points. Anyway im not trolling , i just understood when i got " Central Asia ",sorry And i dont like mixing countries with different cultures and peoples mentality Russia is something else , and Italy ,UK ,,,ie. got problems too but its not in zone of Russias issues. I can compare Denmark to Sweden easier, than comparison between China to Saudi Arabia nor China to Italy as its not same culture nor Zone. Any way . thanks |

That what I thought about Brits before moving here...but NO...they are not!! They are polite yes, friendly yes...but I really don´t find It easy to get to know them. When I´m in Sweden and meet Englishmen on pubs...yes they are outgoing and I thought...oh I will get to know so many English people because they are more open...blabla But most people are outgoing when they are on vacation...Swedes too. But to be honest I actually find It much easier to connect with people in Sweden than in England. |
