Amazon charges TAX relating to the destination.
So if you order from Amazon UK and have it shipped to Sweden, the TAX will be 25% |

amazon.co-uk now does so much EU business that they have to collect taxes based on destination - so delivery to Sweden means that Swedish taxes are added to the price may rise on certain items at the checkout - however there is nothing extra to pay on delivery
however if you make a big order from amazon USA then you must pay duty |

ahh Swedish taxes have been added, and no extra pay on delivery sounds good.
if you make a small order from USA, like 1/2 piece clothing, do you get TAX as well? or is it only for Bulky order? |

There is no import tax between EU countries, so if you are in the EU (you never said which country you are in), you won't have to pay tax.
If, as others have said, you order from Amazon USA (i.e outside the EU), you will pay import tax based on the rules for your country, if the item is over a certain amount. Why don't you check the customs website for your country? There is probably information on this on there, and maybe you will find what the level of value for tax-free import is. |

Just to clarify a bit... the tax amazon.co.uk adds depends on the item. So it's not 25% across the board. Books are taxed at the rate of 6%, foods at the rate of 12% and most other items at 25%.

thanks for clear things up regarding this topic! but does anyone know how much is the tax if you buy from any websites from USA or Asia? say a small quantity, like a clothing or two! not amazon! do they charge for small quantity or only for bulky orders? |

One problem with Amazon is that it can take weeks for delivery.

Amazon add Swedish tax to your bill. I spent a long time arguing with them about it. They say they have an agreement with the Swedish tax office. What I do now is find out who their supplier is, it is normally at the top of the page, and go direct to them. They don't add on the Swedish tax. It has been discovered in the UK that they haven't been paying their UK tax so I suppose they are not paying Swedish tax either. I have stopped dealing with then.
