Hello! i had the misfortune of getting an oven delivered to me destroyed by the courier. I contacted the manufacturer which is based out of denmark and they gave me a price (via email) for 13200sek. i went to order for that price and then the rep in sweden (who works with this other person) told me that the first person gave me the wrong price and that the price is 18500! obviously i would rather pay the former, in Canada they would be forced to sell for the lower price based on offer and acceptance law. does the same thing exist here in sweden? So far all i get is excuses and the statement that i cant get it for the price he quoted me. Thanks.

Sweden does have laws around Offers and Agreements. However there is a difference between been given a Price and being given an Offer.
Even if they advertised a price in a national newspaper/online, that is not a binding price, allowances are made in the law for mistakes, and/or also whether it was realistic that even the customer doesn't realise it is incorrect. etc... Even prices on the shelf are not binding, based on that. An Offer needs to clearly show that it is an offer! For example, it would include who is making the offer, valid from/to dates, and most likely include terms and conditions for the offer, and a few other things, then it can be considered binding. Did they give You a Price or make You an Offer? Additionally, what happened about the damaged oven? Was it not insured? If it was bought by Credit Card, then it is possible to get the credit card company to handle the issue |

Unfortunately that is a price, not an offer.
The Swedish seller is able to say that you were told the incorrect price, and say a different one, and even that isn't binding, since no sales contract has been entered into. |

Brandt is a quite unusual brand in Sweden, so I doubt it will be cheap if you buy from a Swedish reseller. If you want a better priced oven you should go with the big brands, i.e Electrolux, Electro-Helios, Cylinda or Bosh.
