Wow!
Some story! How does one get into a terrorist organization? How does one get to be so trusted and given the most advanced explosives...supposedly undetectable by current search methods? Anybody here with knowledge of intelligence infiltration? Anybody? http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/09/world/mi...icials-say.html |

Gotta be hard to convince terroists to strap on the underwear bomb. How do you enjoy the 72 virgins with a blown-off willy?

I certainly know a lot about infiltrating sources, having been on the receiving end of many such efforts, whether it was 'Jihad Jane' aka Colleen LaRose and Gwrhyr trying to recruit me as Lars Vilks' assassin. John Young trying to set me up so I would confess to working for the Iranians or Chinese Ministry of State Security, Ivan Romanov to so help me get my articles published in books that I would be induced to drinking a toast for the completion of a deal which would kill me, etc.
It's easy to do, and it usually works because the target is so eager to get something accomplished. The only reason these attempts didn't work with me is that I had no interest in hooking with is this JJ, am not anyone's spy, and don't drink toasts about somekind of dibious deal in someone's safe house on a most dark winter's eve. As for the operation, it just looks like payback to Fahd Mohammed Ahmed al-Quso and his ilk for the attack on the USS Cole - what John O'Neill wanted to solve but was pushed aside, thanks to the Agency wanting to play coppers with the 19 alleged hijackers. Of course, when this became just another gigantic CIA cockup, we got the so-called war on terror. I doubt the claims about the untectable bomb - just more type to keep the war going on |
