Are the Swedish conservatives borrowing a page from Grover Norquist and the US conservatives playbook in an attempt to write history according to their own version?

For those unfamiliar with Grover Norquist he started the Ronald Reagan legacy project in 1997 to ensure every state and county had something of prominence named after Ronald Reagan. The Conservatives in the US have done their best to rewrite the Reagan legacy as the man who ended the cold war and saved the US economy.

In a similar vein is Sweden trying to rewrite their history with such a proposal? First and foremost its undeniable that RAOUL Wallenberg did good. We don't know what his exact motivations were or who fully he was directed by ( for example we do know he worked for the OSS the precursor of the CIA while in Hungary). Neither would it be unfair to say their is a good deal of mystery surrounding his unfortunate end.

However, by the entire Swedish nation via a national day edifying Raoul Sweden may be doing a disservice to its true history by forgetting to remember some other prominent Wallenberg's of the day, the brothers, Jacob and Marcus, Jr.

According to Henry Morgenthau the Wallenberg's activities of:

Making "substantial" loans to German industry during the War without collateral and making covert investments for German capitalists in US industries. The Enskilda bank, Morgenthau reported, was "repeatedly connected with large black market operations"

Morgenthau identifies Jacob Wallenberg as "strongly pro-German" and rebuts the view, probably fostered by Wallenberg interests themselves, that Marcus was "pro-Allied"....

...In August 1945, the bank and the Wallenberg brothers were further accused for collaborating with the Nazis, making the U.S. Government impose a blockade on Stockholms Enskilda Bank. The blockade was lifted in 1947.

I do think Sweden would benefit more by remembering Jacob, Marcus, SEB, and SKFFactory (who controlled about 80% of ball bearing production in WWII) as being deeply embedded with the Nazi's. If so Swede's may be more interested in researching the economic history of the Wallenberg's financial activities and other Swedish capitalists involved with the Nazi's to this day...to that end more interesting and revealing truth's may be revealed than whitewashing the Wallenberg name with the one good one while covering up the barrel of rotten apples.

As pure conjecture it is not unheard of for the ruling elite to write off embarrassments in their family. A good example is the lobotomy Joe Kennedy had performed on his daughter Rosemary. Would the Wallenberg family really want Raoul back if he were one of the good guys when their own very hands were so dirty? Perhaps the Wallenberg's encouraged the Soviets to make him disappear ? If I were Raoul I would have came back and tore my families history as Nazi collaborators during the war wide open.

The French have a saying "All the heroes of the resistance in WWII died in the war". Think about it.
