I was there!

I was in the worse Tsunami in the world in 2004 where 300,000 people died and many people were injured.

I saw kids crying and saying "Where are my parents?"

I saw thousands of bodies all over and I think we have to remember them...

Soon it will be the 8th year anniversary and I would like to share with you the experience I had while I was there as part of a rescue and recovery team.

I want to share with you every moment from the time I got the call to get myself to the closest airport, to the feelings of thousands of people that lost everything including their families, houses, property, and even worse they never got a body back.

I want to share with you the unique ways that we used to identify the bodies and get them back to their family and to their loved ones.

I want to share with you how strong people can be like a nation and help each other.

I want to share with you pictures I took while I was there and I would love to get personal stories from you whether you were also part of a rescue team or you have or know families who have suffered a loss and of course to share your stories.

Read, write me, share, Twitter, like, tell your friends...and help me find more stories.

Help me keep the history alive.

You may want to check your facts buddy. There were not 6,000 Swedish victims...there were less than 600

Yeah but it's hard to not be annoyed when the forums are awash with these posts like a flood.
