Rain and low pressure seems affect the Astra 1N reception. I find that it is BBC and chanel 4 most. ITV on HD seems better

BBC, ITV, Channel 4 +5 is very fuzzy or no signal. All other channels are perfect. I do have a 80 cm dish and never had a problem before. It could be the bloody big tree on the otherside of the road blocking the reception. So typical as i really wanted to see the history of punk tonight

Ive locked all the channels and have done a new search. Before the new search all the channels were fuzzy and had no signal. After the search there was no BBC etc in the new listings. I searched on 28.2E. Am i doing something wrong.

For the past month or so, I lost ITV2+1, Film 4 and Film 4 + 1, BBC3 and BBC4, all other channels are fine, dont know what happened, it was sudden from 1 day to the next...

Those channels had worked for several months without any problems and an OK signal but around a month ago, they just got a very very low signal and even in bright sunny day with blue sky, they are not watchable anymore...go figure

Anybody know what size dish is now needed in Skåne since the switch-over to 1N?

Would 80cm suffice? I can't really have anything bigger.

East and West Skane are different requirements (so I believe) but 1.60 is minimum recommended here (East) and apparently there will be changes to satellite again in about a year, so better to go larger just in case.

Thanks for the answer.

I am on the west coast of Skåne just north of Malmö. Maybe I can ask around what people in Copenhagen are using.

But if Astra are changing satellites again in a year, maybe I'm better off sticking to a VPN for another while until the situation is clearer. And save money on the TV license as well. The dish is a dead giveaway... biggrin.gif

You don't even need a VPN on www.filmon.com, just click and watch.
