I'm not sure what advice the pope could give to anyone... except about how to shield paedophiles from prosecution, something he is remarkably adept at.

Well exactly Byke. He's not what you call my favourite person and I believe that he should be prosecuted and jailed... but that's just my opinion. In any case, the Euros will be far better off if he stays well away as the last thing they need is the presence of a criminal and fanatical religious extremist.

It's not too shabby to be rated fourth best in the world.

And as previously stated they led the competition in goals scored.

In the final Brazil game they were down to 10 men and defended like demons...the last 30 minutes were played in their 18 yard box and damn...they nearly pulled it off!

Are they really rated 4th best in the world?

According to Fifa they are ranked 17th, which I suppose is a great improvement considering they had slipped down to 43rd a couple years ago.

Tried to edit that post...failed.

The world cup results show 4th place finishers...in 1994 Sweden finished third.

These ratings only apply to the 1994 world cup.

As an aside, Sweden played cup winners Brazil TWICE...tied one game 1-1 and lost dramatic play-off 1-0.
