(edit title) Visiting Norway by car Driving from Sweden to Norway Options

Hej everyone,
We are going to drive from Sweden to Norway this week to visit and travel through the south and central part of the country. Our plan is to camp from place to place so does anyone have any clue about camping prices and so, just for a small 2 person tend. Other issue is about gas prices (diesel), is it more cheaper then in Sweden? My guess is that it should be considering they produce oil, but... the country is well known for its high prices.

Last time I was driving in Norway (December) filling the car was considerably more expensive in Norway so we made sure to fill on the Swedish side both ways

Norway seemed pretty expensive for almost everying - need to take into account that the Norweigen kronor is about 16-20 % higher than the Swedish

In Norway diesel is about 13 NOK/l or 15 SEK/l. In Sweden the price is about 14 SEK/l.

Here in Dalarna - that shares a common border with Norway - many norweigens come over each week to shop in *cheap* Sweden. there are even border shops that cater to them
- groceries - especially meat
- booze
- petrol

Also eating out was a big shock in Norway - a few years ago after driving for 12 hours from Luleå to Tromsö we decided to get take out pizza from Dolly Dimples (a pizza chain like pizza hut) 4 pizzas cost 1000sek

Diesel is more expensive than Sweden. It works out at around 15.5 sek in most places. I drive to Norway once a month to get to the airport and bought fuel last week. You will find eating out is far too expensive to do and will need to buy stuff from the supermarket instead of restaurants etc.

Camping prices can vary depending on where you go and what facilities are available.

I find diesel is bigger than Sweden. Whom creates on around 15.5 sek in lots of places. . You will find experiencing out can be at the same time faulty personally and need to purchase substance during the grocery store besides restaurants and many others.

When I was living there fuel was cheapest every Sunday evening after 5 or 6PM until about 8 or 9 AM Monday. It was typically cheaper by 1 NOK /L at those times. If you're taking the E6 north, it's cheapest just outside of Oslo to the north than in town, then begins to go up in price again. Gjovik is the cheapest city before Lillehammer where the rate goes up a bit. With a diesel you shouldn't need to fill up that often. Food prices are quite a bit higher and are definitely cheapest at grocery stores. Stores typically aren't open on Sundays either.
