I must say, there has been some really good TV at the moment for those who can receive it (Satellite dishes and VPN's) That its made viewing a pleasure again.
Sarah Milican on BBC2 has to be one of the best shows both on TV at the moment, and one of the funniest shows I have seen in a long time. Its one of those shows you look forward to see. And last night BBC 1 had : "Would I lie to you" which was really good. "Have I got news for you" which I always enjoy. "Not going out" new series, amazingly funny and very well written. And on thursday this week, the new series of "grandma's house" will air. A very funny and dark comedy. And if its anything like series 1 ... it will be well worth a watch. |

Yes, the signal from Sky is much better since they swiched to 1N . As I said in another post, perhaps its deliberate to increase the "unofficial" subscriptions. Lets hope so.

Don't get much BBC here...but always will remember Benny Hill sitcoms...
I know, I know that's gross...but he did have some good ones. The best one for me was,... when after their wedding night his new wife said he was a wonderful lover at breakfast! That put him into a total SNIT!,...He was angry because she knew the difference!!!...Love it! |

I watched half of the first episode and found it really uncomfortable and false to watch. I like Sarah Milican when she's on panel shows but thought her own programme was poor.

As always, two great shows, especially HIGNFY. there is also the current series of The Apprentice and, because i like complaining, Watchdog on Thursdays. |

And...ironically...The Bridge is getting a lot of good press in the UK as the latest must-see Scandinavian blockbuster. We missed seeing it on Swedish TV, so really looking forward to Saturday night BBC4 10pm local.

There was an article covering Scandinavian TV drama's in the guardian yesterday which mentioned the bridge.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tva...d?newsfeed=true I am wondering if those without access to BBC 4 can see this on a Swedish catchup site? |

On another note, Have I got news for you also mentioned the cake cutting in Sweden this week which I thought was quite funny. |

Been watching the Tennis most days. Will be interesting to see how far Murray will go with Nadal out of his side of the draw. Final?

@SimonD...and you're joking too, surely?....The Hollow Crown last weekend, stupendous...Sherlock/Homeland/Mad Men/Line of Duty, etc etc...and coming back soon brilliant Kenneth Branagh in Wallander. You can't just 'flip through' and make statements like that.

Did anyone catch grandmas house last thursday? Watched the first series last week, I loved it but didn't really like most of the characters, they made me laugh but they were awful people, mainly Clive and Liz but the mother as well at times. |
