The Eldabutiken offering looks (and is priced like) cheap IKEA style junk. If you want a real fireplace, try something in the 100k SEK price range, for example here:
http://eldoform.se/ If still not convinced, get an empty steel 200 liter steel barrell, that'll do it ~~~PDX~~~ |

I don't think this would be actually allowed to be used for building stoves in Sweden, hence the regulations and the prices. But then, I do not know anything at all about the subject matter anyway

plus to comply with UK regs, this stuff would still have to have additional works, UK stove regs are nearly as harsh as here, with the exception of the state registered sweeps. Good stoves are worth their money, cheap stoves are no better than an open fire place, sending all the heat up the chimney. A lot of money is spent on research to do with heat retaining blocks, air circulation that cleans the glass etc., air input so you get good controlled burning, meaning you can bank it up and it will run for several hours, some all night. Beware you might buy twice, if you buy cheap. |

Also, they are getting to be a "luxury item" instead of actually heating the house up. If you look for a metal one like for a bastu, then I'd go pop over to Estonia. They do made-to-measure. Also they have ovenmakers, so getting a kakelugn isn't out of the question.
