It is often true that they do not accept any in round 2 - on the other hand 8 is not so many to have a big over admission and you are 1st reserve (it would be much more problematic if you were 12th reserve for example)
The other thing is that by the end of May they will have had a chance to look through the Swedish selection group's applications that came in on April 15th - and just now and again it can happen that a place or two is transferred Do you have back up options? |

What is the UK equivalent of the Swedish qualification Naturkunskap B?
Is it the equivalent of a physics, biology or chemistry GCSE? or is it just a purely natural science qualification of some kind? |

You need 2 GCSEs in science subjects: chemistry, physics or biology
Or The double GCSE (the one that counts as 2 GCSEs) in General science http://www.vhs.se/PageFiles/3542/Landblad%...?epslanguage=sv |

I was asked this question today, but was unsure what the equivalent UK qualification was, the only thing I knew was it was something to do with the science subjects but did not know in what combinations.
Thanks for the info. I get the feeling that he did not get his place at University and that was why he was asking, I know he did Chemistry at GCSE but I am not aware he did any others so I guess he did not have the right subjects even though he does have many to his name. |

Yes - if Naturkunskap B is a requirement then you need 2 science GCSEs or the double award general science
If he only had GCSE Chemistry it would only count as Naturkunskap A |

Does anyone know what selection group APM means? Studera says that included in that group are people with a university degree with "270 univesrity points". I have BA degree and am applying for a masters program at SU.

hi!
I used swedish high school results for my application.and this is how my application looks like: first choice: SG= DA MR=999 umeå second choice(same program as first) SG=DA MR=999 Luleå third choice SG=ÖS MR=999 umeå fourth SG=ÖS MR=999 luleå I later decided that my third choice should have been my first choice, so i deleted my second choice and as a result my third choice landed on the second place. i did this because i thought DA in my first choice meant that i'll be admitted. but i leter found out that am not guranteed of a place. i reapplied to my former second choice which now stands at fifth place, SG=SA MR=922 now am worried that i might have drastically lowered my chances of admission. any advise? does DA mean that i got a place? Thank you jamal |

DA does not guarantee a place - but the chances are good - usually over 95% of those with DA get offered places - however it is never certain - sometimes Universities decide not to run courses for financial reasons etc
If you delete an application and then reapply you are treated as a new and late applicant which is usually a lot less favourable than applicants that appy on time as everyone else was moved up when you deleted your application so you now slot in below them |

Hello guys,
I know this topic is old, but the questions are the same. I applied for a master program in Sweden (fall 2012) but I sent a first set of documents with a wrong translated transcript (yes, i didn't check it and the sworn translator made several mistakes, all of them with my grades, he put 23 instead of 93 and so on), then, I sent a second set, but they uploaded my frist set. I'm trying to contact them by email, but they've answered automatically. Now, I'm worried about that, but it's my fault and my problem. Well, with my wrong grades I got 180 out of 225 for my first option, but I have no idea what it means, also, I'm classified as AP for this option and as HPVA for another one, what does it mean? Thanks! |
