Hi,

I recently moved to Umeå to live with my boyfriend and I'm wondering if there's any other south africans here? Maybe we can meet up and make bobotie with Mrs. Balls Chutney some day :-)

im a south african in Malmö, not nearby but there are quite a few of us here. if you're ever in town, i have a good stock of 5 roses and a tin of rusks are never far off either! i hope everything goes well with your move!

I have been living in Sweden for the past 8 years, and never met one South African. Anyway I now live in Härnösand which is not toooo far from Umeå, so maybe we can meet sometime!!

If there were any south Africans in the are I am sure you will find them well organized, this is how minorities live, they keep their connections tight.

Really? I am an Australia in Malmo and I do not know, or have any Australian friends here..

I am from England and live in Umeå, have been here for 8 years. I have three friends from South Africa here, one of them is from East London, the place where Steve Biko was from, I know of one more South African that lives here, I don't him however getting intouch with him is not difficult.

Anyhow, let me know and I will see what I can do to get you acquainted with them.

Hi to all fellow South Africans,
I am in the process of moving to Sweden, I need some advice please before I make my final decision. Can you guys please tell me more about the place and if you would recommend it, I am a single guy of 35 so I don’t need information about schools and so on.

My name is Denzel, im from South Africa and have been living in Umeå for the past 11 months, im not to sure but i think we will meet on tues, thats if you the same girl that is at SFI. I will be translating from swedish to eng.

Howdy.

I'm also a South African on a British passport looking to come to Sweden.

This might be silly to ask but just want to make sure.

I don’t need a visa do I? I read somewhere that you do? I’m confused.

Also where is the best place to go to have more chance to find a job?

I don’t speak Swedish but I am busy learning the basics.
