Hej hej,

Does anyone know a website where you can watch Swedish TV with English subtitles and/or English TV programmes with Swedish subtitles.

Tack så mycket!

The best way I found of improving Swedish (or any other language for that matter), and especially of improving Swedish "listening" skill, is to get hold of manuscripts for Swedish films, such as Fucking Åmål and Närkontakt (which you could get hold of just by googling), look up all the words you don't understand in dictionary beforehand, and watch these films without the maniscript.

It works wounders! Trust me! smile.gif

You just can't watch any sports sections of SVT Play, other than some reports, and films or dramas that are produced in other countries, like the UK/Germany/US, which are shown on SVT Play with voice-over.

Other than that, you can watch pretty much everything in SVT Play at least in the UK.

Have you tried http://svt.se (Main page for svtplay.se)? It works in Sweden, not sure how it is abroad, but there are plenty of tv shows with subtitles available.

You can read at the website of the agency collecting this fee: http://www.radiotjanst.se/
TL also runs news articles about this every now and then.

Does anybody else know any Swedish-spoken movies beside Fucking Åmål and Närkontakt?
