(edit title) Drivers License Books in English PFD or Hard Copy Options

Hi Guys,
After a year it has become necessary to dive in the deep end and drop a load of cash. I could not find anything current in my search so has anyone got one they would like to sell or one that could be emailed through to me. I am in Stockholm if that helps.

My sambo ordered mine new for 470kr. I flipped. In the US, the study booklets are free and just that, a booklet. I couldn't find a used one anywhere.

As I mentioned to a poster the other day, you can buy a copy of the theory book, in English, from your local driving school.

Okay, so new question about this. The driving handbook is, well, mostly asking me questions that I don't know where to find the answers to. Anyone have any ideas on this? I'm good at studying I just need to read the rules and regulations and then I'll be good to go. I shouldn't have to go to classes to get the information I need, right?

Well, that's the thing. Not everything that you need to know for the theory tests can be found in the book. Unlike many other countries, the Swedish system isn't pure rules and regs. There's a lot of emphasis on driver responsibility and understanding. So just being able to recite the rules won't get you through.

I found that (maybe because I was thick) I needed both the theory book and the on-line practice tests (purchased through my local driving school) in order to get all the information that I needed for the theory test. One on it's own wasn't enough. Road signs are an example of something that were not covered by the book, but were well covered with the on-line practice tests.

I have the theory and exercise books in English, as well as sample questions (which I copy paste) from online tests.
They are from 2005, and I dont know how much has changed since then.

That's a good list of road signs. But it doesn't go quite far enough in their descriptions and applications for some of the testing. From memory there were also questions involving combinations of signs, such as Priority road sign combined with parking, stopping, and time restriction signs. Sounds simple enough but some of the combinations were a little complicated. For me, anyway. That's where the on-line or CD theory practice testing was worth while.
