Just a heads up.

Anyone looking to buy pounds may be interested to know the mighty quid went down to 10.29 this evening.
So if anyone is looking to get some cash, today may be a good idea ...

I remember 1982 when you paid £1.20 for your 100 Crowns.

And then 1992 when you paid £0.66 for your 100 Crowns.

Well, I just transfered some Swedish lolly to Blighty, and got a exchange rate of 10.32 via SEB direct transfer.

According to di.se it could have been lower (GBP/SEK 10,3017) ... but you know those bankers area shady lot wink.gif

Costa del Londres, here I come!

It is more a case of the Swedish Krona being strong...against everything.

It's horrible. I'm in Sweden and my savings are in the UK. I was waiting for the exchange rate to climb back up to 11 SEK/GBP, but I guess I can forget about that now. mellow.gif

It is overvalued and looks to climb the rest of the year until it corrects, probably overnight when something else triggers the correction.

In my humble opinion there is a little too much talk about the Swedish "tiger". The economy may well be in reasonable shape but lets not get carried away with ourselves.

I lost faith in Swedish statistics when I found out how they measure the percentage of trains that arrive on time. They exclude all cancelled trains from the statistics !!
