Hi,
I am doing my masters final semester (masters thesis) now at gothenburg. I wonder, is there any consultancy offices where they recruit and send us to companies for work by taking some % of salary? As a young graduate, how can I search for a IT job in sweden? Also, my VISA expires by this September 2011. Is there any chance or way to extend my VISA permit? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

You have a 6 month period AFTER your Visa expires to get a job. If you don't get a job in 6 months, you have to leave Sweden.
The good thing is that means even if your VISA expires in September you still got until March-April to get a job |

If someone needs visa to enter/stay in Sweden, he can not stay after visa/residence-permit expires. |

No I am sorry but it is not like that .
If your visa expires then you have to leave. The six months stipulation has not yet been decided upon by the government. If you would like to stay six months more and you only have your thesis left then maybe it is better that you delay the thesis submission process for six months. In this time I guess that you can start looking for the job. Monster.se is a good place to start hunting for jobs as is ams.se . To be a consultant you must be fluent in Swedish because you have to deal with clients. Good luck ! |

Open www.ams.se and check the relevant jobs. Many consultancies put their ads there. You can follow the links in the ads (even if the job description is not fit for you) and find most suitable consultancy companies this way. academicwork.se is one company targeting new grads.
ps. You don't need to speak Swedish to become an IT consultant in Sweden. Having the language doubles your chances though. |

I do not mean, I will be a consultant. I am searching for consultancy, where they will show a way or provide me a job in a company by taking some % of money from my salary. Hope you got my point now. Thank you for your reply. |

Do you have fluent Swedish or are you looking for an English speaking job?
You could check out this site for English Speaking Jobs in Stockholm http://www.jobsinstockholm.com/ |

IT is probably a fairly good sector in terms of jobs, a lot of other sectors are pretty dead as far as jobs, no matter what education you have. First job I got after my master's was at a call-center.
