Hi
Well some of you kindly helped me out a few weeks ago when our family took the decision to move to Stockholm and started to research what life would be like, what to expect, education for kids and everything else that blasts through your mind in a whirlwind!!! We we are in Stockholm today for a few days to search for houses to rent which we can do via my husbands company as a corporate rental HOWEVER the supposed relocation companies that promised us viewings for houses in Danderyd/Djursholm area have not lived up to their promises and while on the way here have emailed to say that all the properties that they sent us and agreed to schedule viewings for are now unavailable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are meant to be moving here in just a few weeks now...can anyone help??? Does anyone know of any houses to rent in the Danderdy/Djursholm area? We need a min of 4 bedrooms and budget of c 30,000SEK per month - we can go higher if the property has a seperate studio/flat or annexe for our Mother in Law Any help would be greatly appreciate - LITERALLY TEARING MY HAIR OUT!!!!!!!!!! |

Well, there's plenty more areas than ûber expensive and posh Danderyd/Djursholm. And surely there must be other companies specialized in distributing rentals. Was this company hired through your husband's employer?

Does it really specifically have to be Danderyd? I suppose you have made up your mind though... First, please contact these two private owners looking to rent their villas in the area:
http://www.blocket.se/stockholm/Villa_med_...en_35250333.htm http://www.blocket.se/stockholm/Villa_Djursholm_35349962.htm Both properties are available within a month or two. In the mean time, you can always stay in an apartment hotel, of which there are several in Stockholm. There are new apartment hotels in central location with quite reasonable rates, see http://www.skyhotelapartments.se/ and http://www.bizapartmenthotel.se/gardet/ . Finally, may advice you to stop tearing your hair out. Quality propeties in 30k-50k/month range are especially rare and sought after in Stockholm, so it is important to make a good impression when you are talking to an agency or a private owner. ~~~PDX~~~ |
