Kjärnmjölk which is buttermilk, is next to impossible to find here. I've asked in many different stores and the only people who usually even know what it is are the older ladies that work there. They generally say that they remember it being sold, but that they haven't carried it in 10+ years. Fil, yoghurt or sour cream (gräddfil) all make good substitutes, depending on the recipe.

unfortunatly real butte ris not available in sweden, so the pancakes will have a bit of an off taste.. on the other hand its better than vomit in a stale bun(semla)
