Is COMHEM the worst company in Sweden?

How to deal with them?

Just an update on the programmes now available on Sky here on the west coast.

I went through the EPG this evening, and find now that I receive all the BBC channels too, but from which satellite I can't say. Neither Lyngsat nor Kingofsat gave any clues, so perhaps they have not updated their charts yet. Anyway, as long as it isn't an extra pay channel, or not in my package (from about 1998) or HD, then pretty well all channels seem now to be available over here. Haven't yet checked to see at which frequencies. That will be done later today.

We had retty much the same reaction as the OP when we received our letter from Comhem yesterday. We have the HD medium package, 200mb internet and a phone line with them, we have no binding time left on the contracts. I think we will call them Monday and tell them we are taking our business elsewhere to see if we can get anything out of them in terms of customer retention as these latest hikes are a joke.

All Freesat channels are now on 1N which has great coverage on the west coast! Enjoy! I've just lost everything in Stockholm., so if anyone out there is interested in my sky system (freesat channels only), dish, Triax 110, Good Quad LNB, wallmount, rainguard, PM me! Gutted about this aftrer spending so much effort resarching this sad.gif

Will get a VPN but can't see myself being arsed with booting my lapotp, connecting it etc, putting up with pixalation, buffering etc.. But hopefully this technology will improve.

As for comhem. Probably going to have to go back to them. But the service is horrible, the charges are nasty, there is no PVR/Ondemand box, only one or the other. Oh well. sad.gif

Just out of interest, what Swedish program's in HD are good/worth watching?

I'm with you here, I must average less 2hrs a week Swedish tv, get by with internet news, a couple of postal dvds per month and reading. Sometimes have Bbc radio 4 on as back ground for breakfast and download some podcasts.
I think its great, cuts out the unnecessary rubbish.

Telia must be the worst company by far, I have now moved everthing over to 3, the service from Telia was appaling, 4 weeks to fix my telephone and broadband because they were busy, then they said the problem was my cable and I had to prove it was not to get service.

I have a Technotrend budget C-1500 but can't find any channels on frequency 290000, and thats where SVT, SVT2... is.
Every other frequency works fine, so im only missing SVT1, SVT2 TV4 and mayby som other channel.
The card works fantastic otherwise so i would really like to use it, i bought it beause i had a Twinhan AD- CP300 (2033) that worked really crappy, lots of jerkiness and noises.

My girlfriend wasn't to happy when she couldn't se idol last friday, so now i have switched back to the twinhan card

Wife bought a Roku and AppleTV in the US on her last visit. Roku works brilliantly with a VPN and a TV channel called PlayOn.tv (Netflix plus all the major TV channels). Once you get a Roku you realize how much a rip off all cable companies are for charging you for free content.

Com Hem last everyone's good will when they lost the Champion League's semi final two years ago for most of Stockholm.

nzb is pretty decent - no VPN needed and new films much sooner than netflix/lovefilm. Anonymous downloads as well. $5 a month once you set up account.

I find Comhem to be absolutely shocking at our apartment in gothenburg - equivalent to dealing with BT in the 1980s.

Read a book?

Definitely, too much T.V. can cause brain damage.
