I wonder if anybody can help me. I have SVT1, SVT2, TV4, TV6, SVT24 and Kunskapskanalen. On my satellite i have all the good UK channels.
Does anybody know how or if i can get the usual Swedish channels via satellite (freesat) as i really dont want to subscribe to Boxer etc which is very expensive. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated |

Throw in some self raising flour and you'll have yourself a winning thread.

Fine. If you don't want our help, we'll take our flour somewhere else. But you're more likely to get replies if you leave it in.

We try to vary between the 2. Don't under estimate Flour Power. Already up to 8 posts. That'll draw the punters in out of curiosity. Might even get your question answered.

A few years back I had the 'normal' Swedish channels From Viasat, but even these had to be paid for - well the card wasn't free for decoding. When SVT et al went terrestrial it was better to get them therefore over the roof aerial. I get all my stuff from Sky, tho' so that doesn't really help you. Rick Methven gets a whole heap of the British FTA channels via Freesat I believe, as do several others on here, but whether they can help regarding Swedish channels . . . I don't believe that there is a Swedish equivalent to the British Freesat. Not much help. but at least a little response. A thought just struck me, I don't think that the UK and Sweden are on the same satellites, so if you do find something you may need a dish rotator. I've got one going cheap :-) |

Swedish TV is really shit so I dont see the point when you can have UK tv... Swedish TV is no worse than others, thanks to the many US 'humour' programmes they show. As to repeats, what channel doesn't do them. There isn't a single one that could fill in a 24 hour transmission without them. On Sky you can still see shows from the 60's, which is real nostalgia - if you like that sort of thing. But as to it being excreta, well, my screen isn't brown so ... |
