(edit title) Obtaining Truck Drivers training Licensing in Stockholm Options

Hey Guys i just moved to Sweden from cameroon. and i would love to be a truck driver. the one problem i have is i do not know any driving school or person who will teach me how to drive a Truck. I presently have a drivers license Caterogry B which i Obtained from my home country. i would like you guys to help me find someone who will put me through this couse.

The first thing you must obtain is a Swedish B license. Your Cameroon is valid to drive on for one year and thus you must take the Swedish driving tests here. The cost will vary according to your ability and luck but 8000kr would be a rough estimate. In order to advance to other licences you must pass a physical exam and obtain a learners permit. Some advanced licences first require that you have gone through the two year probationary period. This means that you can not obtain these until after having the Swedish B license for that two year period. There are many driving schools. your key word is KÖRKORT. Use google. Diving schools are expensive and again the cost will vary. A very rough estimate is about 100000 to 150000kr. Good luck.

I was lucky enough to get my training via the Transport Union at Ester Mosessons Gymnasium In Gbg back in '78, and received full pay from my employer the whole time.
But today, and having to fund such a course yourself, the cost could well be in the region quoted. To get your B licence costs a fair packet, and you are only driving around in a car. To get the rest of the alphabet you are driving lorries with and without trailers, and buses, None of which are cheap to run, and bearing in mind the course could run to about three months full time, such a cost would not be far short of the truth, with plenty of theory time necessary over and above the actual driving training. There have also been considerable changes to laws and regs. since my time behind the wheel.
It's a tough road, long before you actually get to driving on it.
