Charles and his trusty steed arrive in the morning.
As part of Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Phillips aniversary.

Anyone planning to take the family out, in hopes of a glimpse?

He is a rather rare sight in Sweden. British and Nordic royalty don't seem to get along very well. Apparently, Betty herself was here on a state visit in 1983, but otherwise you don't get to see the islanders very much here.

They had asked me to do the honours, but I said that I was too busy on my garden - spring and all that. So I suggested they send Number One Son instead. Hence Charlie Boy.

Poor Charles - got stuck trying to get into a fighter jet seat (should have left the action man stuff to his sons?) - not to mention almost chopping of the crown jewels at an "Ur & skur" dagis in Norway

I expect they'll fit in quite nicely.
Two boring farts in a city of boring farts.
Please do us all a favour and keep them,
I mean Sweden seems quite happy to take all the other free riders and rif-raf in .

One of the world's polo elite has graced the Swedish people with a non-playing visit...pity, he wasn't up to form to give an exhibition. What a deep and grievous loss.

But!...Why is he so disliked? huh.gif

Being part of the gang who killed Diana didn't earn him many brownie points

Personally I think he is OK and will make a good King if he get a chance.

According to the royal blog (doesn't sound good, does it)
Charles and co are visiting the scanddivian countries, by request of the UK government.
Not on their own free will.

No I am afraid I missed it.
However I was in stockholm today and it was more crowded than I have seen for a long time (in the city)

So obviously their arrival has had a dramatic effect on tourism and people wanting to get a glimpse.

Me and the wife did see som plain clothed officers in the NK lower floor cafe, enjoying a bun. (They had those ear pieces with the curly phone wire that goes behind) ... actually, come to think of it. Why do plain clothed polices / protection insist in wearing technology that seems to be on par with mobile phones from the late 80's? Even a modern day iPhone and headset is smaller and more discrete that those stupid 80's curly phone wires that run down their back.

I knew the C would be visiting a primary school ... but didnt know which one.
Good for BPS ... they deserve it
