Oh, lighten up and live a little. What's the big deal. I've been in many such situations - sauna, beach, sweat lodge, gatherings and never once seen anyone getting out of hand. Those uptight ones who want to keep something one were always free to do so without anyone questioning it or looking at them funny.

It's weird but as a Swedish girl I have not really had this problem. I just avoid taking my clothes off if I don't want to. smile.gif

wwhat´s wrong with beeing nude? Do you feel ashamed or are you shy? We all know how a woman and a man looks like when they are naked. Nothing dirty with that is there?

exactly, its still a mystery to me that which moron invented cloths in the first place since we all know how everybody looks like (inside). And I am shocked how so many people have been the victim of this great conspiracy against humans for centuries now.

Tack, 42! Just curious how the culture adapts for the non-conformist Swede! Your description of the womens' saunas reminded me of this beautiful film I once saw from North Africa, which I cannot recall the title of, and I could not match it on imdb. It sounds like "Halvowene," but imdb only gave me "Halloween." Does anybody know it?

It's the story of this young boy who is still innocent enough to accompany his mother to the communal female baths, who is developing a slight interest in the female form, encouraged by his older friends who envy that he is still able to attend the female baths. The scenes were beautifully filmed, intimate and lovely, with no nudity. A lovely film!

Tack, Mahmood! I'd recommend this movie to the culture vultures out there. It's not without humor, and just glorious to look at and even "feel."

I think clothes were invented to keep you warm, weren't they? Very important in such a balmy country such as sweden!

How one handles these situations is a personal choice.

Women look at me with both want and fear. The men with jealousy and intimidation.

It is just easier to avoid the whole situation.
