OMG!!! I had no idea that that was YOU! I did not mean to trivialize you. If I had the time I would have ridiculed you. |

but having your networks dry up in Sweden is pretty serious. all because you spoke about the weather with some people you met, or took the last bulle when having fika with a neighbour, unlikely. Surely to stop your networks drying up, you keep them warm, fluff them up occasionally, lubricate them with a little with beer or coffee, by communicating, not ignoring. No one is going to offer you help or work, if you don't chat to them for ages, then suddenly when your desperate you want their full attention and help? Good on you for managing to make a business out of small talk, it's like being paid for sitting in cafe or pub all day. So I can't fault you for finding Swedes willing to pay for this. |

Well, next time perhaps... the honour would be hard to absorb all in one go. Of course! A native English speaker with time on his hands that is willing to freelance in English Language conversations and has an ex-wife is, is, is darn the forum will not let me put the word that I would use to describe you. (Rap43 still just having fun, I really have nothing against you) |

Rap43, with your accomplishments as an ex-husband and native speaking English language person who is willing to freelance in English language conversation(because you are out of work and perhaps without a clue), I was wondering if you would be able and willing to assist me in my long time life ambition of being a champion race horse jockey(see previous threads)?

Going back to the original post, I can't help but wonder if the problem is more with the OP and his plonking wife. All the check out ladies say Hi to me whenever I'm shopping. Might want to check that after shave.

Don't you dare give up that dream. Never! The discrimination that I had to endure in America regarding my particular physical condition and the perceived diminished mental capacity that I have been tarnished with on multiple continents will never allow me to deny others the satisfaction of seeing a man such as myself succeed in the field of professional Thoroughbred saddle racing. (gplusa, your continued support in my quest means so much not only to me but also to the dozens of villages throughout the most Southern part of mid-Western Africa and that Island that is just left of New Zealand next to that sunken ship that was in the news reels back in May of 1972 - I can never thank you enough!!!) |

Heres a suggestion - If such actions are wrong in Swedish, try it in English.
(Be brave!) "Just that thanks luv" with a smile and maybe a cheeky wink. Changing the world for the better, one step at a time. |
