Hi everyone!
I need your insight in understanding perceptions of Sweden as a brand. It's the theme of the Swedish Championship in Economics (SM i Ekonomi this year. I work with branding and communication and am invited to speak to explore the concept of Sweden in a seminar called "Who the **** do you think you are?". To get insight, I'm doing a survey! The survey participants include students, business leaders, expats and tourists. Your participation in this survey will contribute to a lively discussion at the event and provide valuable insight for my future work in branding and cross-cultural communication. The survey will take less than 5 minutes to complete. Results are anonymous. Please contribute your insights and feel free to share this survey in your preferred social media channel. THE SURVEY Thanks for any insight you want to contribute! Best regards, Rachel |

There is no origin of the survey. No details of the organisation and no guarantee that the information will not be used/abused/ sold or shared.
My advice is DO NOT FILL IN THE FORM |

Hi Rick!
Thanks for inquiring about the survey origins. I am invited to the SM i Ekonomi as an industry expert in the field of branding and communication. As a speaker, I always do different research into my topics. This is one way of doing research. You can read about the event at www.smiekonomi.se as well as see my profile or contact me directly. The event is organized by Sveriges Ekonomföreningars Riksorganisation. The survey is completely anonymous and voluntary. Anyone who doesn't want to do the survey, feel free to post your comments here.... I appreciate any insight or opinions people have about Sweden as a brand! Thanks, Rachel |

Hi! Not sure what you mean by try this before. This is the first time I've done an informal survey on this topic. But if you know of other surveys on this topic, let me know. I would be very interested in their conclusions as part of my research into Sweden as a Brand.
Thanks, Rachel |

DO NOT FILL IN THE FORM its anonymous, no personal details are asked, just a few multiple choice questions, dont see how that could be used/abused etc etc Paranoid much?! |

Hi!
At the risk of offending, given your field of expertise, do you mind if I make a few suggestions? If it is genuine uninfluenced perceptions/branding then I would recommend a change in structure of the survey. Split the survey over 2 or 3 pages with a submit function for each individual page. Next do not ask questions relating to the demographics of the user first. What you are doing is asking them to assume a particular role or put on a particular hat. It is like asking what do think a person of x class/social status should think or should have as a perception. In other words at some level you are directing them or influencing their answers. If the primary focus is perceptions ask general questions such as 'When you think 'USA' what are the first 5 things that come to mind? Have 5 open positions for replies. In this example you might receive answers like, war, bush, coca cola, obama, american dream. They are base perceptions and influence the branding. Have these open style uninfluenced questions at the end of the first page and one or two basic questions about demographics such as 'are you swedish?', 'do you currently live in Sweden?'. Then on the following pages you can dig deeper into the perceptions and brand identification. The more specific questions regarding demographics leave to last. Also avoid questions like "Business leaders: What is the #1 piece of advice you have for students regarding their personal brand in a corporate environment?" What you are implying is that the views of people who are not upper management in a Forbes 500 company are not worth as much. Do not forget that even if you are more interested in what Business leaders think, their decisions and opinions may be based on what their customer base thinks not their own! With this style, even if people refuse to answer the final page regarding more detailed demographics, you have perception/branding answers. This might give an indication why I did not do the survey! |

The page you open is storing cookies on your computer, your IP is being tracked and you just accept the word of some completely anonymous person that information gained will not be used or passed on. Not paranoid just want to know more about who I am giving information to |

Hi mångk!
Really good points. It's difficult to change the current survey, but will keep in mind for future ones. Not easy to construct a survey in a completely neutral way! Thanks for the input! Rachel |
