Has anybody checked into Friends reunited lately. What do you think of the new site and the changes. Personally i think its crap. Comments removed, chatroom removed, cant join some site, pictures gone, and before you could look up people who lived on your street, thats gone as well.

Agree it is crap.

When it started it was great as there was no facebook and I ended up getting into contact with old school friends I lost contact with 50 years ago. People just moved to facebook which is out to dominate the social media scene.

Friends reunited missed the boat, by totally misreading the market. They didn't add decent features and facebook did. Facebook was much more in touch with its 'initial' target audience, the under 20s and 30s. Reunited, was thinking about 40 somethings and old school friends, completely misinterpreting what the market wanted. It's a shame because they could have become as big as facebook. They are doomed to a slow death, despite trying to reinvent themselves, folk just aren't going to check in to both sites. Bit like yahoo, they failed to evolve in the same direction of the market too.
