1.When starting an enskild firma, one can go to verksamt.se and get that registered online without having to go in person, just pay the fee and I can register it online, right?

2.When it comes to the name, if say my name is say Tomas Tommy Lindh, can I use(register) a business name such as Tommy's Cakes or Tomas Cakes, or even Lindh's Cakes? I was told that if it has one of my names on it, I can use it to register the business, but can i use my last name (efternamn) or can it also be either my first or second name?

3.If I want to call it anything that is completely different from my name (since my personnummer was used to register the enskild firma to begin with)must I then do a fictatious name search to see if the same "Crazy Cakes" name has been used in Sweden? If not used by someone else, do i have to pay more to register that name, e.g Crazy Cakes?? smile.gif

4.If someone checks me on Bolagsverket's website, can they look up and find my business name ? Will Bolagsverket have a record since I signed up with verksamt.se and not bolagsverket?

Some input would be helpful.Look forward to hearing some answers to the questions.

You can use any name you want, at no cost, as long as someone hasn't already protected it and there's no risk of confusion.

If you want protection, then you can register your name. The cost depends on how much protection you want (local, national, EU)

Näringslivsregistret, part of Bolagsverket, will have the info on the registered name

Thank David.

So, even if register Tommy Lindh using my personummer and get the F skatt under this name, I can go around printing business cards with "Crazy Cakes " on it if I know that no one in Sweden has used Crazy Cakes as their registration?

However, when I invoice, I have to put my F skatt number and personnummer as the enskild firma number, but can I also use Crazy Cakes, then put my personnumer next to Crazy Cakes ? On the faktura I mean.
