Driving in Norway

DL rules for international drivers

I am planning to do a road trip in Lofoten islands, Norway at the end of June. I have been living here in Sweden for more than a year, which as per my understanding makes me ineligible to drive in Sweden using my home country license. But will the same rule apply in Norway?

Yes you can drive in norway if your home country lisence is valid. It does not matter how long you have been in sweden. you can drive in other countries when on visit.

If your license is from the EU, it is still valid in Sweden too.

Of course. I should have been more clear. I am not from EU and although I have driving licenses from two countries (US and India), I don't have one from EU. Hence, the confusion.

Thanks. Some of my friends told me that rental agencies don't really care if you have been here one year or two, as long as you have a valid license. That problem occurs only when you are pulled over.
