Where in Stockholm or surrounding areas can one find Tampax brand tampons?
I had a look in dozens of stores to no avail. Crazy! |

Get thee to Apoteket woman. I saw bulk bags of what appeared to be generic Tampax type devices, perhaps they have the Tampax brand as well but I would think that an ICA would have them.

You know why tampons have strings?
It allows lesbians to floss afterwards. |

Yes, it's getting interesting!
I think the old definition of a "cotton picker" will be next! |

No the ones in Apoteket are not the same :/ The ones I have found in Sweden thus far are very unhygienic!
Sorry OP but I don't think there is anything that is as good as Tampax in Sweden, at least I haven't found it! I think stores tend toward towels in Sweden maybe. |

To answer your question: No, you will not find Tampax brand in Sweden. You will only find the "unhygienic" kind of tampons in Sweden. I do not know why this is. In China, they only carry the "unhygienic" kind, but they include plastic gloves in the box. Swedish brands do not include these small gloves. I actually switched to pads when I moved here. But, even those are sad in Sweden.
Why not order from drugstore.com, they now forward goods to Sweden via MyUS.com. This is how I get toiletries that are not available in Sweden. There is basically little choice in Sweden with regards to EVERYTHING. It is due to the fact that there are so few people living in Sweden, that there can be no economies of scale. Carrying too many items is not profitable, because there is no one to buy them. |

I too prefer tampons with the applicators and you can buy Tampax at City Gross, both regular and super. I have also found them at my little local ICA here in Tomelilla, so you should be able to find them there also.

Cant wait to see the discussion from some of the regular jingoists on here proclaiming that Swedish Tampons have higher standards LOL

Are they banned in Sweden?
They shouldn't be too hard to slip in? |

Thanks, JulieLou. Personally, I used ob in the States, so it was not a problem when I moved here. But, I can see that for some folks who are used to the "hygienic" brands as they say, that ob would not be a good option. I have to say that I found the "gloves" in China to be a bit humorous.

What are you talking about people ? They are everywhere ! Just ask in the shops if you don't see them, maybe the packaging looks different than what you are used to ?
