I'm looking for a trustworthy contractor who could give us a quote and then potentially do some work on our bathroom. We live in Upplands Väsby. If they speak English, that's even better. Does anyone have any good tips/experiences to share?

I used Märsta Vägg & Golv AB (web site www.mvgolv.se/).

I found them to be an extremely good company, reasonably priced – and lacking in the bull-sh1t I found with some other companies.

I had created a new bathroom area, using the correct materials to comply with Swedish requirements. I took photographs at each stage of the work, and 'cleared' it with the insurance company.

Märsta Vägg & Golv then came and fitted the final floor and wall coverings, drainage points (etc).

If you’re looking at new shower, bath & toilet fittings, extractor fans (etc) you’ll probably need to factor in the cost of plumbing and electrical work as well.

From start to finish, several people were involved in my new bathroom; there may well be contractors who will do everything involved in creating/fitting out a bathroom - but I only employed people I could trust.

As I say Märsta Vägg & Golv AB were excellent - and not too far from Upplands Väsby. Folks there spoke pretty good English too

My friend in Stockholm used services of one exported ;-) team of workers from nearby Latvia.
Speak good English, do the job really good and fast, but the price is really reasonable. If you want, I can ask their contacts. They had website with all the projects and other photos.
I was working with them once, when we installed new kitchen furniture.
