I'm in desperate need of moving boxes and I don't know where to look to get moving boxes. It can be of any type or maybe someone has a few lying around and I would be willing to pick them up.

Thanks!

Any moving company will have moving boxes for sale. For freebies, check with grocery stores and retail stores to see if they have boxes that you can pick up.

I find the standard "moving" boxes in the shops to be of somewhat inferior quality, more suitable for storing things rather than moving them around.

Shurgard in Malmö have several offices and sell really heavy duty cardboard moving boxes at 10 for 299 SEK. I think I only managed to break one, putting nearly 30kg of items in it, otherwise they withstand abuse and also bad weather to some extent.

http://www.öob.se/ has cheap moving boxes. 2 sizes I think. Sturdy enough for 1-2 moves, I found, but I'm careful not to overload as you still have to lift the dang things. I wouldn't use them for shipping.
