Hi, I will start my master program in Kista of Stockholm for 2 years from this August, while my wife will start her Ph.D program for 4 years. It seems like that the contract prize much cheaper than pre-paid card. But we both have unlocked iPhone 4 on hand already. Which carrier will you recommend?
We want free calls between our mobile cards, and I need to dial international calls to China several times per week. About 1 GB data per month is also needed. Some friends suggest "3" for its low international call prize. So, could you give me some suggestion about different carriers? Thanks! |

Do you have residence and PNs already, otherwise you may not get contracts immediately.
If you look at the reader offers at the top RH of the page (use the tabs) you will find an offer for a free Comviq card. They have a range of PAYG tariffs to suite most needs. There has been recent discussion of this on here so check other threads. But Comviq have good cover and you can anyway start with them and always change later. |

I would suggest you look at Halebop, the discount wing of Telia. Telia has by far the best network in Sweden, especially outside the major cities but is relatively expensive compared to Comviq, 3 etc. However, Halebop has packages much cheaper like 180 sek post pay for 5000 sms even outside sweden, lots of minutes to call, free to other hale bop, 2-3 gig no cap with fair use and throttled after. They also have pay as you go.

I had personnummer and Tele2 still wanted met to send them a copy of my work contract, seeing as I had no credit record in Sweden. Then they still wouldn't do business with me, because my contract is issued yearly, and I wanted a two year contract (the minimum they were offering at the time).
So I faxed off a work contract showing two year period to Tele2. Ahem. No problems. Been a punctually paying customer now for over three years. I mean seriously, this was for their cheapest SIM-only package with no phone and no data. |

You have to wait 8 months after you're folkbokförd before Halebop will give you a contract. |
