We're moving to the US this fall and will have boxes to ship (no furniture, no cars).
I've been in contact with two companies (UTS Pearson and Movecorp) and wondered if anyone else has worked with them. Movecorp has several bad reviews roaming the internet and Pearson seems to be involved in heavy SEO (I get tons of blogs and pages related to Pearson but with no information of use). Obviously I'm worried with both. Anyone use either company? After also reading the forum here, I also contacted Alfa moving and got a quote of 30,000kr for 16 boxes. That was pretty ridiculous. They said there's no chance for a lower price even though their volume quotation was three times the amount of the volume of boxes we actually have. I'm confused if Alfa is really that good or I just have an idiot on the other side (yes, the conversation is in Swedish, no language barrier). Otherwise anyone have a suggestion on what they used to move with transatlantic? Thanks! |

I haven't done this move so no personal experience.
Just wondering if you'll be using half a shipping container all to yourself? I have no holdings or positions in this company: Quote: http://www.shipping-worldwide.com/get-quote.html You can see our references at http://www.shipping-worldwide.com/references.html Letters of Recommendation http://shipping-worldwide.com/letters.htm Corporate Profile http://www.shipping-worldwide.com/profile.htm We have developed a Frequently Asked Questions page http://www.shipping-worldwide.com/faq-shipping.html |

Check out Active Air Cargo: http://www.aac.se/?home_sw
My wife had used them when shipping stuff from Sweden to me in Canada before she came across. She shipped what had to have been 15 boxes (maybe a bit more) for about 1000$ CAD 1,000.00 CAD = 6,873.15 SEK Canadian Dollar ↔ Swedish Krona 1 CAD = 6.87315 SEK 1 SEK = 0.145494 CAD Edit: Turns out it was 13 boxes totaling 245kg. I am not sure what the volume you are shiping is but this company seemed to be the cheapest we could find and we had no problems with our stuff being damaged or anything like that, just the whole customs thing once we were trying to claim it which wasn't bad either. |
