Residence permit extension

I am living in Sweden based off of a relationship with my sambo. I have just received a permanent contract of employment. My residence permit expires in a couple months, can I extend it based off of my employment if I want to end things with my sambo or will I be sent home? I am not from the EU.

You can apply for a work permit and stay legally until the decision is made even if your sambo visa expires. Good luck.

No You don´t need to go home. You can just apply for it and you will have it in Sweden. Best of luck
