I am in the running for a first-hand contract for a flat. The landlord wants to do a credit check.
How detailed is this usually? How long does it take? I don't believe that I have any black marks, but in case I do (ie an unpaid parking fine is vaguely at the back of my mind), can he still give me the contract? |

The credit check can be done online in a few minutes!
You will get a copy of the information that is given. Normally in the post within a couple of days. It is the landlord that decides whether to give the contract or not ... the credit check is just a basis to see if You pay your bills on time, income etc... Most landlords do have a policy of no contracts to those with Betalningsanmärkning (payment remarks), but at the end of the day, it is their choice to accept if there are or aren't any. The fact that they are doing the credit check, if your record is clean, most likely means You will get the contract. |
