Yes, sambo permit = family ties permit.
Normally, showing your sambo permit should get you a personnummer, after which you pay same as a Swede for healthcare (150-300 sek to see doctor). I suggest you go to Skatteverket again and try to see a different clerk. Make clear you have sambo based residence permit, are not free moving EU citizen with own funds. |

EHIC is no good I am afraid. It entitles you to emergency health care, but only when you are abroad for holiday or so( away from the country which issued the card) but if you are not resident in this country any more (currently living in Sweden) in my opinion the card is not valid any more.

Yeah thats what i did, i applied for the sambo permit like a non EU citizen, it takes a while but that seems to be the only route for EU citizens with no 6 months work contract. But you can sometimes work without the number, specially if u get offered a 6months + contract as they know u will get the number straight away in that case (straight to Skatterverket) |
