Sorry sounds to Me like You had a verbal agreement, whilst legally binding, the employer has 4 weeks to come forward with an employment agreement that details your salary, vacation, duties etc... Without any proof of the verbal agreement, anyone hear it that is credible and willing to stand up in court?, then there is no Agency, Union, whatever that can help You.

The employer can always say that it was indeed a verbal agreement for a trial couple of shift without pay, where they have now decided not to take you on.

Note: Whilst it is tough to get a job ... never start upon a verbal agreement, always ask for something in writing, even just an email is OK.

Are you suggesting the IRS, HMRC, skatteverket etc has no right to investigate tax dodging, because their employees are funded through taxes? Think about your logic?

To me it sounds as if the employer found out that the guy he had taken on was literally living up to his nickname and so gave him a bit of his own medicine.

Irrelevant and disingenuous. Deriving income from taxpayers includes things like paternity/maternity leave and child allocations. Also employment in many useless public sector jobs.

My logic is functioning fine, as it permits me to see through straw man argument. I never said anything about rights. Nor about whether or not you worked and paid taxes at some point in the past (public sector job, by chance?). Was talking about the heavy ooze of moral superiority in some replies to the OP.
