(edit title) Gay life in Sweden Anyone has any suggestions? Options

Hi all,

I am from the Seattle, WA USA and I will be coming to Sweden in February for a month to work on an internship for my employer. I am wondering how the gay life is in Sweden and what would I need to do to get by and have fun while I'm there.

Any pointers or suggestions?

Swedes are pretty liberal about homosexuality so you'll find that refreshing. In saying that it's easy to mistake a hipster as gay, so prepare to have to adjust your gaydar a bit. Luckily the average Swedish male is more likely to take that as a compliment...unless you live in the north, best not to hit on anyone with long hair and a Metallica tshirt (vom).

For example how "gay" used to mean happy/cheerful. Not that you can't find a gay gay I guess...hehe. But yeah, as mentioned above LGBT culture isn't quite so segregated as it is in other countries, seems in Sweden people are able to party with people regardless of sexual preference.
