No Richard, I am not in favour of any system religious law nor have I ever been. I am a secularist, who therefore believes that religion an law should be as divorced from one another as much as is possible. After all, I would not want the system of legislature under which I live to be influenced by what other people believe that their imaginary friend wishes or instructs. I also believe that the world would be a far, far better place without religion as illogical superstition is clearly not conducive to societal health. By that statement I mean that the world would be better off not only without Muslims, but also Christians, Hindus, Sikhs etc. ... and before you try to spin this to infer that I would be in favour of the genocide of these groups, remember that I am referring to the religious belief not the person himself; a Christian without a belief in God is not a Christian, a Muslim without a belief in Allah is not a Muslim. I trust you see my point.

On the other hand I wish anyone who celibates Eid or any other such celebration a happy one. I am not a Christian, but I still celebrate Christmas (which was originally a Pagan festival but was rather hijacked by Christianity) even if it is by no means clear that Jesus even existed let alone was born on a specific

day. However I was raised in a predominantly Christian (albeit far from fundamentalist) society where Christianity was by far the dominant belief. For us Christmas was a celebration where we were free from school or work, exchanged presents and ate good food; it had little or no religious connotation at all. These days I celebrate Christmas in a similar secular manner, as a time for enjoyment nothing to do with any religious belief.

I am sure many Muslims (and so called "Cultural Muslims") celebrate Eid in much the same way.

Rima, you do realise that Muslims do not only come from Saudi Arabia don't you? This is a public forum where people are free to post what they want even if that happens to be expressions of good wishes from faiths in which you yourself do not believe.

What is "best" is purely subjective. Every Chirstian I have ever met thinks Christianity is "best" whilst ever Muslim thinks the same of Islam. They can't all be right.... they can however all be wrong.

They don't; if they did they would stay. Most have been forced to move to do events out of their control such as war or oppression and they want to live here because here we are fortunate enough to live in a society largely free from these things.

And those Somalian women who come with veils and never want to take it off .What the hell is this . When you leave a country that treats you bad and go to a country that give a total freedom especially to women, you don't keep the same way to live there.

You have completely missed the point here. Perhaps these women appreciate living in a society where they have the freedom to wear a veil if the so wish as opposed to being forced to wear one by a crackpot theocracy. Here we do not tell other people what they can and cannot wear, including women... at least most of us do... is this something you would like to deny others?

Searchlight magazine identified the "Tommy Robinson" involved with the EDL as Lennon, and reported that he had served a twelve months prison sentence for assaulting an off-duty police officer who had intervened to stop a domestic incident between Lennon and his partner Jenna Vowles.[12] He was convicted on 18 April 2005 for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault with intent to resist arrest while his partner was cautioned for possession of cocaine.[15]

On 24 August 2010, Lennon was involved in a fight between supporters of Luton Town and Newport County in Luton, on the evening the two clubs played at Kenilworth Road. Lennon reportedly led the group of Luton fans, and played an integral part in starting the 100-man brawl, during which he chanted "EDL till I die". Eleven months later, in July 2011, he was convicted of having used "threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour" on the night of the incident. He was given a 12-month community rehabilitation order and a three-year ban from attending football matches. He was also sentenced to 150 hours' unpaid work, and ordered to pay £650 in costs.[16]

Lennon was arrested after an EDL demonstration in Tower Hamlets on 3 September 2011 for breach of bail conditions, as he had been banned from attending the demonstration. After his arrest, Lennon began what he called a hunger strike in custody in Bedford Prison, claiming to be a "political prisoner of the state" [17] and refused to eat halal meat (which in fact he had not even been offered).[18] A local paper however reported that Bedford Prison sources had claimed that "his hunger strike lasted only 24 hours and then he gave up when he got peckish".[19] A handful of EDL supporters protested outside the prison in support of Lennon during his incarceration, peaking in a turnout of 100 protesters on 10 September.[20][21][22] Lennon was released from prison on 12 September.[23]

On 29 September 2011 he was convicted of common assault after headbutting a fellow EDL member at a rally in Blackburn in April that year. The judge stated that a custodial sentence could not be ruled out.[24]

On 8 November 2011, Lennon held a protest against the ban on wearing a poppy for the England team on the rooftop of the FIFA building in Zurich. As a result, he was fined £3000 and jailed for three days.[25]

On 20 October 2012, Lennon was arrested over an alleged assault.[26]

On 22 October 2012, Lennon appeared at Westminster magistrates' court charged with using someone else's passport to travel to the United States in September 2012 ("possession of a false identity document with improper intention"). He was remanded in custody until he is due to appear in court in January 2013.[27]

What is so pathetic is that someone wants to forget who they are and become someone they aren't. Adapting everything Sweden will not make you Swedish. The best solution will be to take the best of both world and be the best human being you can be. You have to understand that all muslims are not Arabs (they only make up 15% of muslims). Every muslims do not have the same experience as Arab muslims. . Sweden, like most western countries including my Canada, is free country, you are allow to be whoever you want to be as long as you do not break the law of the land. For this reason, Muslims, like Christians and Jews can celebrate their religious celebration and it's perefectly fine within the law of the land. I understand you feel opppressed but this has nothing to do with Islam, blame your cultural heritage that used to bury young baby girls alive before Islam came.

Again, why do you care what Somali women wear? If you want to come here and forget about being who you are that's totally upto you. But don't expect everyone to jump on the band wagon. If these somali women wants to wear veils or what not, it's upto them and it's perfectly fine within the context of Sweden. You have very distorted opinion of what it means to be free. Why do you compare only to Christianity , is it the only other religion?

I'm atheist but I think Christianity is way better than Islam but this is my point of view which I know is shared by most of people in the world.
I don't even think Islam is the most growing religious, this is just disinformation.
the world is about 7 billion people , Islam is only 1 and half billion while Christianity is about 2 and half .
I don't think many people would convert to the "peaceful" religion that is Islam. Let me be very suspicious about it.
