Channel : ITV 1 (British TV)
Did anyone catch last nights (11th November 2012) new series of I am a celebrity on ITV1 ?
It was an eclectic list of contestants, including old Colin Baker (Doctor Who) who looks very different to the man I saw on telly as a younger person.

Colin Baker
Ashley Roberts
Linda Robson
Helen Flanagan
Hugo Taylor
Eric Bristow
Brian Conley
David Haye
Nadine Dorries
Charlie Brooks

Now these are the current contestants for the show.
But does anyone have any thoughts on who might stay for a good period of time and who might get voted out?

If I was a betting man, my cash would be on Linda Robson taking the win.
I really like Brian Conley, but imagine he is going to loose his charm and charisma as soon as the show drags on - Resulting in a happy chappy suddenly becoming quiet tired and miserable.

Personally I hope we see MP Nadine Dorries voted out first.
I don't like politicians using such shows as a stepping stone, and quite frankly she is about as interesting as a wet flannel. Her political career has been rather uneventful, and the hype surrounding her would appear to be unmerited. And given her career, I really hope she gets voted off before she gets a chance blab. Although it would be interesting to see how ITV handle that as I suspect they would like to see he on longer, and I am sure they paid her a pretty penny to be on the show.

So I my mystic meg predictions of who will be the winner and 2 runners up are :

1. Linda Robson
2. Colin Baker
3. David Haye

Anyone else watching the show and have any predictions?

Please note that the above show requires a UK IP address to see it.
There are many companies offering UK IP's through the use of VPN's, Smart DNS etc for residents outside the UK. Anyone interested can do a quick search of the forum to see many reviews from different members.

Too early to call...one thing is for certain Helen Flanagan is going to be voted to do all the tasks along with Nadine until one is voted out.
Never understand why people like Helen get voted out quickly, its people like her that makes the show, her constant crying squealing and whingeing stops its being boring.
IMO the first one out should be Hugo Taylor (never heard of him before) he appears to have the personality of a slug, can you imagine if we were just left with contestants like him, wouldn't bother to watch.

I am still secretly hoping that Trinny and Susannah join the series as rumored.

Let's hope, too, that Nadine Dorries geta a hammering.
It does, though, make you wonder why they are all called 'celebrity'. Not many seem to really fit the bill. Dr. (Colin Baker) Who is the only name I know other than the nutty female MP.

You obviously don't watch enough darts and soaps

The ditzy one from Corrie is really annoying - screaming about a twig in her hair when the otherwoman had been bitten by fire-ants or whatever

However I find myself warming to "Evil Jannine" (Charlie) from Eastenders

I was suprissed at how rough Helen Flanagan looked after the slap came off.
She looked like a cross between a teenage boy, and a bottom thats been slapped a lot.

Should be fun tonight to see who can keep down the bush tucker trials.

It was hilarious on the first day when they arrived in camp - the others were like "shall we light the fire?", "do we collect wood?" "where are we going to sleep?" and suddenly she was in her bikini - she'd changed straight away - probably she thought she'd get more air time. Hilarious also when she realised they had to changed the toilet buckets themselves biggrin.gif

She comes over as very babyish - spending £75/100 per week getting her hair blow-dried 3 to 4 times as she can't manage a hair-dryer herself and not realising that a rented apartment doesn't clean itself - and as for the bathrobe ... rolleyes.gif

The others seem to be treating her as a cross between a toddler and a pet

But I can see her refusing the bush tucker eating trials so she might be less amusing the hungier they get

I knew this would happen, so stupid to keep voting the same two to do the tasks, doesn't give the viewers a chance to see what the other contestants can do.
You just knew that Helen would never stay in that box, in my opinion she is getting her salary under false pretences, I doubt very much she will complete tonights task so life is easy for her.
Make her empty the dunny every day until she at least has a go at a task. rolleyes.gif

As every MP and the voters in her constituency are all voting to to keep Nadine in the jungle for ever if possible, I expect that she will be the last one remaining. That means that more money will be donated to charity as she has reluctantly said that she will not keep any money she wins, especially as she is still being paid by the UK taxpayer.

She has made a big mistake in thinking that the British public would love her for saying what everybody else knew about Cameron and Osborne - that they are a couple of posh tossers

British female politicians from both sides, Harman, Smith, Bercow, Widdecombe and now Dorries, just can't seem to stop embarrassing themselves on a public stage.

It's as if that when they decide to sign up for public 'service' they lose any self-awareness.

You are more right than you know. Haven't watched a soap since the very early days of Crossroads! ! And you perhaps can't even remember when that was, it was so long ago. The two names I mentioned only came about due to seeing them on the news. I must, however, admit to watching some of the Inspector Montalbano of late, and enjoyed some of the scenery involved, but not so much the 'storyline' or lack of same. Prego, or is it Ciao??

You do not appear to have your facts correct, Harman and Smith are both disgusting B'Liar women so not worth a mention.
Be-Cow is NOT a politician, she is the wife of the speaker of the House of Commons.
Her husband is a vile little man who suffers from small man syndrome being 5ft 5in, he is a pompous ass full of his own importance, he was elected into the position of Speaker by the last Labour government, he is not exactly the most popular speaker we have ever had and will not be missed when he goes.
His wife suffers from delusions of grandeur and thinks she is more important than she is, she seems to think she is "with it" by tweeting stupid tweets, hopefully her latest effort will be her downfall and Lord McAlpine will sue her for what she "tweeted" about him.
Ann Widdicombe was a very popular MP for Maidstone, she always won the seat with a very large majority.
As far as I know she did not do anything "embarrassing" while she was an MP and if she wants to go on a reality show or do panto now she is retired so what, at least she was not involved in the MP's expenses scandal unlike Smith who stole £116,000 from us by claiming a room in her sister's house was her second home and we were even paying for her husband's porn films, you really couldn't make it up sad.gif

Not to mention male politicians as well
- don't forget Lemit Opik in I'm a celebrity - and his famous Cheeky Girls fauxmance
- John Prescott in Gaving and Stacy? etc etc

Of course it would be great to get Boris on the show
