Surströmming surprise for Christmas

We live in Seattle USA. My daughter brought home a can of Surströmming from Sweden, so we surprised everyone at the family Christmas party by opening it up.

JasonZero, now my thinking about bringing some over when we visit my mom and grandma. How did your daughter bring it over? Do I just wrap it in a dozen layers of Zip-lock and check it in?
