Need some document Notarized

Do Notary Publics exist in Sweden?

I have some legal documents to get Notarized (power of attorney docs). Is there such thing as a Notary Public in Sweden or do I have to go through (an expensive) lawyer for such a task?

No, Notary services are not available anywhere in the world except for the mighty UK and USA unsure.gif

By law, each County (Län) is required to have at least 1 Notarius Publicus.

They are normally required to have passed jurisexamen. So, it depends on the bank, and if the county make a exception (which they can if there is good reason).

Nope, banks cannot in general Notarise documents in the formal legal sense. They can attest to your identity as can a police official but this is not recognized internationally nor in a court of law.
