Ha ha - it will be interesting to see what happens - I won't hold my breath for the goat's survival
Funniest was a few years ago when an American tourist was convinced by some Swedes in a pub (it probably sounded very logical after a few drinks) that it was a quaint Swedish tradition to burn down the goat. So the American - wanting to follow all local customs - rushed off to the square, evaded the guards and burned down the goat. But sadly not realising that such goat burning should be a covert operation managed to get himself caught and sepnt the entire Christmas holiday at the "police hotel" in Gävle! I think he remains as the only person ever caught and prosecuted for the deed - i think he was sentenced to prison and damages - but was let off for tme served. |

Of course it will burn. US napalm must be used in areas where there is about 20 degree celsius...
But if you use Norwegian Napalm, you will make it burn for a long time. |

But I think it will be blown up this year...
I think it's sad people aren't allowed to keep their burning traditions. |

*blushes at Americanism*
Ummmm...we all pick a date when we think the goat will burn. Normally, one antes up some money and the winner takes the pot. In this instance, it could be about bragging rights and intrinsic pride. |
