Bädda

Bädda

Those efficient Swedes have been at it again. Bädda is a verb that means “to make the bed”. E.g. Please bädda, there are guests coming. We really need this in English. You’re hardly making your bed anyway. To make is to create, one makes a sandwich. The only time you ever truly make a bed is when it comes flat-packed in an Ikea box.
