Ristorante La Gondola is Gothenburg's oldest Italian restaurant and lies in the middle of the sunny side of Avenyn. It offers a selection of à la carte dishes, pizza and fresh Italian pasta, and wines from the vineyards of Italy. The dining room is reminiscent of Venice and its gondolas, with the walls and ceiling decorated with paintings, lamps and masks. In the relaxing lounge section you can feel as though you've been swept off to Italy for a short moment.

    I've been there this evening and will never get back again. It's orrible. My colelagues and me were astonished on how bad was what we swallowed. This is not giving good reputation to the "real" italian kitchen, unless you're an unlitterate of good food.
