Zlatan off to Italy

On Tuesday the press broke the news every Swedish football fan had been expecting. No, Svennis wasn't reconciled with Nancy: Zlatan Ibrahimovic had finally got the Italian job.

After an impressive Euro 2004, the young man who is arguably Sweden’s most talented young footballer was always going to attract the interest of the big clubs.

From now onwards he’ll be plying his trade in Italy, having swapped Dutch Ajax for one of the biggest clubs in the world: Juventus.

“One doesn’t get many chances like this,” the 22 year-old told Expressen. “There’s a lot of talent already there but I hope I can adapt to Italian football as quickly as possible.”

When asked to describe himself for the Italian supports, Zlatan, in true fashion, didn’t mince his words:

“I’m 192 cm tall. Weigh 93 kilos and I love to play football.”

In other words, Zlatan will let his feet do the talking.

“Brozovic's Inter Milan and Swedish epidemiologists were informed about the positive test,” an HNS statement said.

The player's positive result came two days after defender Domagoj Vida was informed of a positive Covid-19 test after playing the first half of a friendly with Turkey in Istanbul.

Apart from Brozovic, 27, one staff member also tested positive.

They were both isolated from other members of the national team.

After Sweden, Croatia play another Nations League game against Portugal on Tuesday.

Croatia, runners-up at the 2018 World Cup, are third in their Nations League group which also includes France, the team that beat them to the World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal and Sweden.
