The policeman accessed the database with all the identification details and a general profile of the 35-year-old man who was a suspect prior to the arrest of Mijail Mijailovic. The Stockholm County Court believes the policeman did not have the right to check the register, as it wasn’t part of his assignment.
In addition, the suspect had already been arrested.
So far five policemen have been charged with breaching confidentiality issues during the investigation of the Lindh murder.
