A man in Gothenburg was injured with a bullet when the police opened fire during an attempted arrest, reported SvD on Thursday.

According to the police the shooting was a case of self defence after the man drove into the police vehicle with a small truck.

"He rammed the police car several times and the police had to escape the car - one policeman was almost crushed between the car and a wall", said Tommy Jonsson, spokesman for the police in Västra Götaland.
