Up to one hundred households outside Motala had their power cut off last Wednesday night, according to SvD on Thursday.

It turned out that a beaver , or several beavers, had been hard at work and had managed to break a tree in half, which had fallen on electricity wires. The power cut lasted for about four and a half hours.

"We've had problems with beavers in certain parts of our region", said Charles Eriksson at the power company Vattenfall Östnät.
